Antony's motivations
Antony reveals his persona at the speech. He acts as an innocent informer of the truth. He acts like he means Brutus and the other killers no harm, but in his words it is clear what he is getting at. His true motivation is the lust for power. He knows that he wouldn't want the murderers of Caesar running the Rome. So he must create a plan to bring himself to power. His major motivation is the want for Caesar's spot. After he is done giving the speech he smiles. This is were he shows that he simply isn't doing this to avenge Caesar, but to put himself in a better position if he succeeds.

- He wants to be in Caesar's seat of power
- He is jealous of how much the people like Caesar
- Covers it up by saying that he assassinated Caesar because it was the best for Rome
- Another motivation would be Hatred
- Being so jealous of Caesar soon makes him being to hate him
- He becomes obsessed with the plot to kill Caesar
- Hates Caesar so much he thinks that assassination is the only way to put things right
- His last motivation would be fear
- Brutus is afraid of what will become of Rome if Caesar becomes emperor
- Wants things to be the way they were.
